Our Covid-19 Guidelines and Protocols

Effective Monday, April 19, 2021, we are open for all services including in-person lessons,* instrument rentals, and general retail (*EXCEPT wind instrument instruction). For the health and safety of our customers, students, and teachers, we continue to do this cautiously. We will strictly follow all Los Angeles guidelines and will be continuing with our own protocols to comply with these rules. Be reassured that if you are currently taking lessons virtually or would like to switch to virtual lessons, we are happy to continue to provide that option.

Below is the list of rules and guidelines published by Safer LA, accompanied by
the actions we're taking to comply with these rules. We look forward to working with our customers in this prudent and responsible way to keep everyone healthy and safe.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email or call Jeff at the store.

Safer LA Guidelines

Our Actions

Stay home if you feel sick or have a fever or cough.

To reduce possible exposure,
we will take every student's temperature with a no-contact thermometer before each lesson.

Maintain six feet of distance from others at all times.

There will be no waiting allowed in either the main store lobby or the drum room. Students must wait in their cars until they are called in by their teachers. For retail and rentals, customers will be allowed in the store only one at a time.

Use a face covering over your nose and mouth.

Teachers, students, and anyone else entering the store will be required
to wear a face covering at all times, whether it is a mask, cloth, scarf, or bandana. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitizer.

We will provide no-contact hand sanitizer outside the store. Everyone entering must use it before being allowed in.

Keep shared surfaces cleaned.

We will disinfect and wipe all surfaces between each lesson. Each teacher will have a 15-minute gap between students to allow for this disinfecting.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your cooperation and for your continued support of West Valley Music Center!
