How Much are Music Lessons?
First Lesson is Free!
At West Valley Music Center, the first lesson you take with us is always free! You can take a free guitar lesson, or a free piano lesson, or a free violin lesson—choose a free music lesson on any instrument that we teach! There is one free lesson per student, and this free lesson offer cannot be combined with any other offers.
Monthly Rate
30 min … $132 (Single lesson $43)
45 min … $198 (Single lesson $64)
60 min … $264 (Single lesson $86)
Our monthly rate is a discounted rate based on a one-month commitment, whether that month contains four or five weeks of lessons. If you are unable to commit to a month of lessons, the single lesson rate will apply.

Payment Policy

Payments are due the first lesson of every month. Payments made after the 2nd lesson of the month will incur a 10% late fee; this will be added to the monthly payment due.

There is a 10% discount on any number of lessons per family or student that add up to 1.5 hours or more of lessons per week.

No Cancellation Policy
West Valley Music Center has the best teaching staff in the San Fernando Valley. To present you with this high caliber of music instruction, our teachers must be fairly compensated for their time. When you sign up for a month of lessons, you are reserving both a time slot from your teacher and a teaching room. This professional commitment that each student makes with his or her instructor is why we have a No Cancellation Policy:

There are no refunds for missed lessons. Since the monthly rate covers months with both four and five lessons, you will automatically receive four make-up lessons per year for any that you miss.

There are no additional make-up lessons, since the make-up lessons are already built in to your monthly lesson fee. If you do not miss any lessons all year, then you will be receiving a month of lessons for free. That is a $132 savings every year.

During winter break and summer vacation, if you are unable to attend at least three lessons for a given month, the lessons you do attend will be charged at the single lesson rate of $43 per half hour.

On holidays when the store is closed, or when a teacher is absent and there is no substitute available, you will receive a price adjustment that month.
